Michael Cohen is a former personal attorney for Donald Trump, who served as President of the United States from 2017 to 2021. Cohen worked for Trump for over a decade and was known for his loyalty to the former president. However, their relationship soured in 2018 when Cohen pleaded guilty to charges of campaign finance violations, tax evasion, and lying to Congress.
Cohen cooperated with Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and testified before Congress about Trump's business practices. He also published a tell-all book, "Disloyal: A Memoir," in which he detailed his experiences working for Trump.
Cohen was sentenced to three years in federal prison in 2018 but was released early in 2020 due to concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, he has become a vocal critic of Trump and has continued to speak out against his former boss.
